The Coffee Bar

Tucked inside the Halifax Citadel near the Soldiers’ Library, The Coffee Bar offers a warm, welcoming space to relax, refuel and take in your surroundings. Whether you’re starting your visit or pausing between experiences, it’s the perfect place to slow down and savour the moment.

Inspired by the “coffee bars” introduced to British soldiers in the mid-1800s, this space continues the tradition of pairing good food, warm drinks and a place to gather — no marching orders required.
