Led by friendly, costumed interpretive staff, our guided tours bring the Halifax Citadel to life, from its strategic design and construction to the people who lived and worked within its walls. As you explore the site, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how this remarkable fort shaped the city and played a role in Canada’s history.
Along the way, you’ll meet some of the Citadel’s most colourful characters and hear what daily life looked like for soldiers stationed here in the late 1800s, from routine duties to moments that defined the site’s legacy.
