Help bring history to life!

The Halifax Citadel Society is a non-profit, charitable organization which works in partnership with Parks Canada to deliver programming and visitor services at the Halifax Citadel and Georges Island National Historic Sites.  Our mandate is to connect our visitors with what it means to be Canadian, inspiring thoughtful citizenship at home and around the world.

Every year, the Society hires approximately 60 to 80 youth from high schools, community colleges, and universities from Halifax and across Canada to help operate and deliver its programs and services.

The HCS is now accepting applications for spring/summer 2023 positions in the following sections:

  • Retail Associate

The following job competitions are now closed:

  • Military Interpreter - Private
  • Military Interpreter - Piper
  • Military Interpreter - Drummer
  • Visitor Services Operative
